Oxford Competition SuccessÌý´Ú´ÇrÌýModern Languages

We are delighted to celebrate success in two University of Oxford language competitions.ÌýÌý

The Anthea Bell Competition attracts entries from students across the country and provides an opportunity for young linguists to apply their language skillsÌýto produce an English translation of a poem or prose extract from a language they are studying.ÌýMany congratulations to Gabriella (Year 7), George (Year 8)Ìýand Avni (Year 9) for their excellent entries in this year’s competition.Ìý

Congratulations also to Ayaan (Lower Sixth), whose German-language entry to the University of Oxford’s Flash Fiction Competition, consisting of a 100-word story, was highly commended.Ìý

These competitionsÌýprovide an opportunity for studentsÌýto apply their language skills beyond the classroom.ÌýCongratulations to all students involved for these fantastic accomplishments.
