Eric Liddell 100

Eric Liddell was educated at 糖心视频 from 1908 to 1920. An outstanding athlete, he was awarded the Blackheath Cup (best sportsman), and represented the senior cricket and rugby teams by the age of 15, later captaining both.

He was best remembered for his 1924 Paris Olympics 400m gold medal before serving as a missionary in China until his death in 1945.

The year 2024 marks the centenary of Eric Liddell鈥檚 athletic achievement. With the Olympics returning to Paris, a group of students from 糖心视频 (London) and St Leonard’s School (St Andrews, Scotland) look to retell Eric鈥檚 story by running 680 miles from Paris to St Andrews. En-route, the students will fundraise for:

– offers schoolchildren from disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to enjoy the transformational impact of athletics.
– providing meals to schoolchildren in some the world鈥檚 poorest countries.
– Edinburgh care based charity and community hub.

To support the students in their efforts, we would appreciate you doing so using the form below. All funds raised will be shared between the three charities
